Explanation
〜として = "as (in the role of)". 〜について = "about / regarding".
Usage: として = "as (a role)"; について = "about / regarding". Both attach to nouns. について can also be についての before a noun.

〜として = "के रूप में"। 〜について = "के बारे में"।
Examples
- かれはせんせいとしてはたらいています。 (Kare wa sensei toshite hataraite imasu.)

English: He works as a teacher. - にほんのれきしについてべんきょうしています。 (Nihon no rekishi ni tsuite benkyou shite imasu.)
हिंदी: जापान के इतिहास के बारे में पढ़ रहा हूँ।
English: I am studying about Japanese history. - かれは、にほんのマンガについてレポートをかいた。 (Kare wa, Nihon no manga ni tsuite repooto o kaita.)
हिंदी: उसने जापानी मांगा पर रिपोर्ट लिखी।
English: He wrote a report about Japanese manga.
Common mistakes
- について missing に → について (Nihongo ni tsuite) — Keep the に.
